My dad had been doing really well with the project. To help him my family has committed to working with him to stay motivated. We go on family walks and weigh in every Sunday to show progression. Since last Sunday my dad has lost four pounds just by simply walking and eating better portions. Yesterday my family went out to eat and I was nervous about going because of how much food we would order or eat. My dad is known for ordering a big meal and finishing the whole thing in one sitting. Surprisingly something out of the ordinary happened though. My dad, half way through his meal, said that he actually felt full. He was confused why, he had not eaten all night and was pretty hungry. I told him that maybe the diet was working and his stomach was just getting used to the idea of smaller portions so he didn't need to have such a high intake. I am proud to see the progression my family has made. My mom even started cooking our dinners in healthier substitutes and let me just say, they taste so much better and I feel healthy eating it all. Although the physical changes are slow now, I am more than excited to see positive progress in the future. The saying we keep abiding by is, "three months from now you'll thank yourself".
